Buying for research
Who is permitted to purchase from Retro Tide Science? Sales are restricted to qualified researchers aged 21 and older, purchasing for laboratory, scientific, or analytical research. Institutional buyers can reach the desk for bulk lots and lot reservations.
Do you require institutional verification? We do not require an institutional letter for standard catalog orders, but we reserve the right to request verification for bulk lots. Age confirmation and a research-use confirmation at checkout are required on every order.
Can these products be used on a human, animal, or food product? No. All products are supplied strictly for research use only. They are not for human or veterinary use, food, cosmetic, or household applications. The Research Use Only notice appears on every product page.
Certificates & documentation
Where do I find the documentation for my lot? As a lot’s Certificate of Analysis is posted to the COA Library, it is matched by lot number, so a vial can be tied back to its paperwork. Where a lot’s COA is still being processed, the listing shows “COA pending” until the record is posted.
What if a lot’s record is not posted yet? Pending records show “COA pending” on the product page rather than a stand-in claim. If you need a specific record, write to the desk with the lot number and we will follow up.
How long are records kept? Lot records are retained. For a historical record on a discontinued lot, contact the desk with the lot number and we will locate it.
Shipping & handling
How are vials packaged for transit? Lyophilized vials are packed in a foam-lined parcel, with a phase-change cold pack added for temperature-sensitive items, and routed by signature-on-delivery courier.
Which US states are restricted? We are unable to ship to Idaho, Nevada, or Louisiana at this time. Checkout displays an inline notice when a restricted state is selected.
Do you ship internationally? International orders are evaluated case by case for institutional buyers only and are not available through the open catalog. Reach the desk to discuss.
Returns
What is your return policy? Because research materials require chain-of-custody, returns are limited to misshipped lots and vials damaged in transit, reported within 72 hours of delivery. See the Refund and Returns Policy for the full procedure.
What if my package arrives compromised? Photograph the parcel before opening and write to support@retrotidescience.com with your order ID. The returns desk reviews chain-of-custody claims within five business days.
